Do you know what lifestyle clauses are?

Individuals with a large amount of assets or a history of previous marriages may find a prenuptial agreement to be quite beneficial. Prenups allow couples to determine how property will be divided in case of a divorce, long before divorce is typically being considered. This is because a prenuptial agreement is drafted and signed before the wedding occurs. But another type of prenup is getting the attention of many people considering marriage in Broward, Florida. In this agreement, couples lay down lifestyle clauses that dictate certain aspects of married life.

According to reports, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have a lifestyle clause that would see $500,000 exchange hands from Timberlake to Biel if he committed an act of infidelity. Other celebrities have similar clauses. For instance, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones reportedly have such a clause in place. If Douglas -- who is reportedly a sex addict -- is discovered cheating, she will receive $5 million. And if the couple divorces, Zeta-Jones will receive $2.8 million per year. While this could be enforced in court, it may not have to be as it can act as a deterrent to these things.

Other lifestyle clauses include an agreement between Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban: If he is caught using illegal drugs, he will be barred from receiving any of Kidman's money. Another couple -- Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan -- have a clause that requires Zuckerberg spend at least one night and 100 minutes of quality time with Chan each week. Other couples may use the lifestyle agreement to dictate the frequency of sex or the physical condition of their spouses.

This form of prenuptial agreement -- as well as one that focuses on property division -- can be drafted by an attorney, a person who should be involved if the couple wants to make sure that the document is enforceable in court. These documents can be declared invalid by a judge if she or he sees fit.
